Fishtail

Today I will be talking about the final outfit of my last shoot with Sara Hedgren.

We were in a public park not 5 minutes from where I live where Sara stripped off and walked around in her bra amongst the elderly people in the park, who didn't blink an eye. Although one lady did stop to tell her she looks beautiful! I guess that is what it is like in Sweden, not so prude as in the UK ;)

In the park there is this lovely white gazebo which worked out quite well, but I enjoy just using the flowers and plants in my photos too.

As I said before for this shoot the sun was so strong that day I had to keep Sara in the shade and use the shade to my advantage, as well as use the lens flare to my advantage. I was only using my 50mm lens for the whole shoot, it is my favourite lens as I am a massive fan of blurred bokeh.

I guess it will be the new year before the final blog post about this shoot!
Have a great new year and happy holidays, and thanks for reading :)

Long Grass Shoot

Another blog post about my last shoot. Although that was now a few months ago! But i have been away for a month on a cruise and visiting family back in the UK.

As I have said the weather was sooo hot in the end, we had really strong sun beaming down on us. So I had to try and use the sun to my advantage. We found this grassy area and i sat Sara in a speckled shady part under a tree, again with the sun behind her.

I loved using the lens flare in this shoot, I LOVE lens flare and i have never really used it before this shoot, but i really love the results. I know there are probably some people out there who say ewww lens flare, but hey, Sara and I both loved the results from this shoot!

Here are some more very summary photos:

I didn't like crouching in the long grass so much, because I don't want to get creepy crawleys on me, but at least this part of grass didn't have loads of stinging nettles like the next bit we decided to sit down in did! haha, more about that in my next blog post.

As always, check my facebook page for updates and unseen images!

First of 2014

I finally got to do my first shoot in Sweden, and of 2014! I had been in touch with a Swedish model who actually lives in the same town as me since last year but due to the weather etc. we couldn't get a shoot in last year.

But a couple of weekends ago there was thick snow outside and the lake here was still, just perfect for the shoot. I met with Jenny Chanel and we got straight to it!

Using the still water of a lake as a backdrop worked really well, the colour of the clouds almost blends into the water. I am really pleased with how these came out.

This is the first awesome style we went for.

There will be another update with the rest of this shoot some time soon.

Throwback Thursday: Another Steampunk Shoot

Since I haven't managed to do a photo shoot in what seems forever, I am going to post something about an old shoot that I didn't blog about at the time.

Here is an old shoot I did when I was studying at University in 2012, we did a few outfits and this                  is the Steampunk style images we shot that day rather than my studio pin-up stuff.

I met the lovely Victoria Plum at a great location that happened to have some ruins from an old church.

I also wanted to say that this blog has got over 10105 views!! Strange to think that even though I am having so much trouble to getting a photo shoot now here in Sweden.

Cosplay At KultCon

Here are some more photos from my weekend at KultCon.
These were definitely some of my favourites and I thought I would have a go at editing some of them to make them stand out.

The first ones are some well known characters from the TV show Game Of Thrones;
Joffrey and Sansa!

Joffrey is the talented Eewpie Cosplay, I am sorry but I didn't get the name of Sansa here.

Here I met a girl who did an amazing Captian Jack Cosplay! Again, I didn't get her name :(

Here is a fantastic Commander Shepard Cosplay from Mass Effect, handmade by Kroforce Cosplay.

I am sorry but I don't know who this is, but it looks so damn good.

And here is the stunning Chrix Design with her Death Elf outfit and everything is completely handmade! Check out that amazing make up effect.

After doing this event by myself as a photographer it wasn't as scary as I had thought. Although I did miss cosplaying myself!

There are still some more photoshoots from this weekend I will post about, one of my favourites is coming next... I am a massive fangirl of this show.

KultCon

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of taking photos at KultCon, a local anime convention to me here in Sweden! I got talking with the admin, who is also an amazing cosplayer (Mitternacht Cosplay) and she was awesome enough to sort me out with a press pass!

I met loads of really great and friendly people, everyone is always up for me taking their photos. I even managed to tear some people away outside in the cold for a better backdrop, so I had a few mini shoots whilst I was there.

Here are some general shots of cosplayers from the weekend!

Some of my mini photoshoots include Supernatural, Mass Effect and a Death Elf!

I will blog about them soon :)
