At The Beach...In The Studio

I have been a busy girl editing images this week. Just finished the pictures from last week of Julia, and have done one for each model from Tuesday's group shoot.

Here are a couple more of my favourites of Julia.

Here we busted out the fan and blew it right in her face, bless her!

And one a bit less cheesey......

The fantastic Poppy Scarlet brought along so amazing props and ideas for our shoot on Tuesday. And here is one of her ideas:

Here I used coloured jels on a light, creating the blue, but tweaked the floor digitally to look yellow for a sandy feel. And yes, that is a Michael Jackson 'Thriller' themed tattoo! Amazing.

I had also been wanting to do a tiki themed pin-up shoot and had managed to put one together I think, with Bexy Beatdown.

Here I used what was supposed to be an orange jel but it gave a nice pastel colour that seemed to work with this theme.

Been a good week, even though I was ill monday night before the shoot from reheated pizza! I am very very happy with the results, and will be working this these models again soon.

New Pin Up Shoot

Yesterday I had a great long day shooting three different lovely ladies for my pin up stuff.

And today I was told that apperently I take the sort of photographs I take because I am addicted to pornography but don't have the guts to go all the way.

No.

I take these photographs because the art of pin-up is the complete opposite to most pornographies. I want to make my girls the most beautiful girls around, so that every man (an soldier!) would long for her when he is away.
Pin-up and cheesecake style is cheeky and mainly just, well, fun! I don't know any female who wouldn't want to be photographed in this style - to look gorgeous.
I have nothing against pornography and those who make it, but that is not what I am doing.

Anyway, here is a new photo from yesterday with the gorgeous Georgina from her blog Fuller Figure Fuller Bust

New Pin Up Shoot

Yesterday I had a goregous girl come to the studio to model for me, and she had never done it before.
I contacted her because she really looked the part for my retro pin up stuff. And she really made me glad I asked her!

Here are a few of the images I have edited so far. I am definitely thinking the colourful backgrounds work better.

And my favourite photo ever..........

I only made it last month or so, what growth for me!

Here are some gorgeous pin up gals to celebrate!

Burlesque Style Photography

I was looking back at my previous university work and one of my favourite projects of mine was on the history of Burlesque. I had to write an essay as well as producing sufficient images, which I did on film and printed them myself in the darkroom.

My technique idea was to use fast film, to get an extra grainy effect, as I wanted the images to look old. I also did different things to the negatives like scratching and leaving dust on etc to get a really old fashioned feel on them. I also used colour film and processed in black and white so I would get even more noise.

These are all my printed images scanned to my computer.

These were my early second year work so please excuse the blown highlights.

Tales From My Location Shoot

I did a shoot in a park in London last month, meeting up with 3 lovely girls there.
It was a chilly day, with remnants of the snow still on the ground, but the sun was low and golden
which gave some gorgeous light for me.
I actually had someone helping with holding a reflector, which I don't usually have - but it made a huge difference!!
Here you can definitely see the sunlight on one side of her face and the reflector doing it's job on her left side.
One of my favourite pictures with all three girls.

Another favourite of mine.
Zoe suits this era so well.

Overall I am very happy with the images I managed to get. And we were dodging a police officer who insisted we wasn't allowed to photograph in the park! Even though I could see someone photographing the snow behind him when he was saying so...

All the models can be found through my facebook page.

More Snow?

I have heard it is snowing around some areas of the UK again.

It has gone reallllllly cold again!

Here is when it started to snow the first time this year, the flakes on the window:

My garden the day after the heavy snowfall:

At least the snow looks pretty even if the UK can't cope a day with it.
