English Summer Continued

Here is the rest of the classic British beach shoot.

Complete with good old grey clouds and overcast sun, just for the day we did the shoot!

I am very pleased with the colours of the water and sky in these images. Even though it was a grey day the sea had a lovely green tinge to it, and a polarizing filter brought the colours out deliciously.

English Summer at the Beach

I have finally done something productive for my photography side of my life.

The lovely Jacquelyn suggested a shoot at the beach since we have been having another short heatwave.
And short it was, the day came for our shoot and it was warm but the sun was nowhere to be seen.
Even with the grey cloudy sky I think the colours of the sea really popped nicely. (with a little help of a polarizing filter)

It was quite cold in the water. Even I had a little paddle too, haven't been in the sea for years.

The rest of the shoot to come soon!

At The Beach...In The Studio

I have been a busy girl editing images this week. Just finished the pictures from last week of Julia, and have done one for each model from Tuesday's group shoot.

Here are a couple more of my favourites of Julia.

Here we busted out the fan and blew it right in her face, bless her!

And one a bit less cheesey......

The fantastic Poppy Scarlet brought along so amazing props and ideas for our shoot on Tuesday. And here is one of her ideas:

Here I used coloured jels on a light, creating the blue, but tweaked the floor digitally to look yellow for a sandy feel. And yes, that is a Michael Jackson 'Thriller' themed tattoo! Amazing.

I had also been wanting to do a tiki themed pin-up shoot and had managed to put one together I think, with Bexy Beatdown.

Here I used what was supposed to be an orange jel but it gave a nice pastel colour that seemed to work with this theme.

Been a good week, even though I was ill monday night before the shoot from reheated pizza! I am very very happy with the results, and will be working this these models again soon.

Vintage Lady Location Shoot

Here are some photos from a location shoot I did in Southend-On-Sea.
I was a little worried because the weather was overcast and cloudy, but it seemed to have been good flattering light in the end.

This is just a selection of images you can see the rest here

Anyway...any comments? I am quite happy with this shoot, it feels quite editorial.
It would definitely fit into some fashion magazines.
